Shishu Bambini's philosophy weaves together:
1. Reggio Emilia : “hundred languages” approach—honoring each child’s many ways of expression
2. Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore: Inspired by Tagore's philosophy, we foster whole-child growth and global citizenship through joyful, nature-based music, movement, and art
3. Carl Orff’s belief: learning through movement, rhythm, and play. Through music, dance, and hands-on exploration, children investigate sound, space, and story.

Soma trained as a Learning Through Music researcher at The New England Conservatory of Music under her graduate advisor, Professor Lyle Davidson—a Harvard Project Zero researcher who helped shape the Arts PROPEL initiative—establishing Soma's direct connection to Harvard’s pioneering approaches in arts-based research.
